About Us
FBC Community Ministries is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization and the local mission ministry of First Baptist Church Montgomery. We exist to share the love of Jesus Christ by meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of our community.
We believe our greatest purpose is to point people to the hope found in Jesus Christ. Through His life, death, and resurrection, God has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him. As Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
We also serve our neighbors through practical ministries that provide food, clothing, financial assistance, childcare, after-school and summer programs, tutoring, GED preparation, English classes, mentoring for mothers, prison ministry, and community gardening.
Everything we do is guided by three biblical values:
Love – Because God first loved us, we seek to love others.
Service – We follow Christ's example by serving our neighbors.
Dignity – We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with respect.
