Our Programs

  • English as a Second Language offers In-person 1 hour classes, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, offered 3 days per week.

    Classes are FREE!

    Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

  • Conversational English offers In-person 2 hour classes, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, offered once a week on Thursdays.

    Classes are on the 4th floor of the church building. Enter the door in the horseshoe on Perry St, and take the elevator to the 4th floor.

  • Open from 9:30am - Noon

    Come grab a snack and coffee while practicing your English in a comfortable casual setting.

    CITIZENSHIP CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

    • Students must understand English.

  • Students gather each summer to have fun and practice English.

Who We Are

Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where adult students can improve their English skills while experiencing the genuine care we have for them. At the same time, we seek to share the message of God’s love through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, fostering spiritual growth alongside language learning.  It is our desire and prayer that each person in our program 

  • grows in English language proficiency,

  •  develops loving community with students, teachers and other volunteers, and First Baptist Church of Montgomery

  • grows in relationship with Jesus Christ 

Who we serve

We serve international adults who have either just moved to Montgomery or who have lived here for many years.  We serve adults who plan to stay in Montgomery any length of time: a few weeks to a few years.
